Monday's are gonna be busy!

So Enrichment started today and let me just say I am so happy! The kids were BEYOND ready asking me every day when it would be time to go. We were in classes from 9-12 then went to my mother in law's house and sat with Eric's granny for a few hours. The only problem I see is that when we are leaving our niece gets home from school...she is 6 and doesn't understand why we can't stay to play. We will figure something out though!

Enrichment starts tomorrow

After a scare that we might not get to go it has all been worked out and we will be able to go!
The kids are so excited they even have new outfits for the day.
I am so ready!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So far I have contacted a couple people about Dyslexia testing. I am pretty sure Ky is but we need to get the "official" answer. We shall see next week if I get any call back's!

Outdoor adventure

Today at granny's the kids seemed bored so I decided I would take them out back to explore and boy did they! They picked up all the sticks in her backyard and have decided they want to make a birdhouse among other things. They also found some twigs and I told them I will make a holder for their paint brushes or crayons! All in all I think they had alot of fun doing pretty much nothing. I love how the simple things make kids so happy.

Granny

I love that my kids get to know my grandmother. I love that she can tell us all stories about growing up in the "old days" I love that they can get a history lesson simply by listening to her! My kids don't always like going over to her house but they don't realize one day she will no longer be with us and these days are to be treasured. I never got to meet my grandmother's mother she had passed before I was even born, so it makes my children knowing my grandmother all the more special to me! I love my Granny Grunts!

Eric has a karaoke thing on his computer and has the kids singing songs with him. It's so cute to hear their little voices playing back. And no mommy will not be singing along! :)

Butter!

Well we finally made our own butter today it was fun. The kids loved shaking (of course) however I think they enjoyed tasting it more!
We saved the buttermilk and plan to make biscuits with it. It was so much fun watching the different stages as the cream became butter and seeing their little faces light up. This is why I love homeschooling so much!
